Donald Carl Alexander, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 2, 1928, the son of the late Claude and Helen (Cory) Alexander. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne as a Corporal during the Korean War. He worked at Hoosier Fence Company for 38 years retiring as Vice President. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia (Maschmeier) Alexander; daughter, Jill wife of Dr. Philip Borst; son, Dr. Mark husband of Norma Alexander; and daughter, Jackie wife of Robert Brookie; two grandsons, Alex and Eric Borst. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. Funeral service will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where he was a member, 2525 E. 11th St., Indianapolis at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
